This year’s Mandy’s Angels 4th Annual Charity Fun Day was a resounding success, full of community spirit, smiles, and a whole lot of love!
On a beautiful day in August, at the Massey Ferguson Social Club, we came together to raise funds for Cancer Research UK and honour the memory of Mandy Douglas. The day was packed with fun for all ages, and the generosity of everyone who attended shone brightly throughout the event.
In just four hours, we were thrilled to raise £1,686—a huge achievement that puts us even closer to our goal of £20,000 by 2025. The support we received was simply overwhelming. From local businesses donating their goods and services to the raffle, to the families that showed up ready for a day of fun, it was truly a day to remember.
The day was a true testament to community, and we are so grateful to everyone who came out to support us.
Highlights of the day:
- We were thrilled to be featured on BBC Radio West Midlands, where we shared Mandy’s story and our ongoing mission to support Cancer Research UK. It was a wonderful opportunity to spread the word about our cause.
- The raffle was a huge success, with amazing prizes donated by local businesses. Attendees had the chance to win tickets for Coventry City FC, Coventry Blaze, and a Hampton in Arden Golf Club voucher. Our most popular raffle item? We sold over 100 tickets for a chance to win a signed Paul Gascoigne England top from Euro ‘96!
- This year also saw the return of our ever popular exclusive Mandy’s Angels merchandise which included handmaid pieces and keepsakes.
- The kids had plenty to enjoy with activities such as the bouncy castle, tombolas, and even a replica FA Cup on display.
- And of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without our now-annual tradition: turning Gordon and Gareth’s hair and beards a bold new colour! This year, they sported bright orange for the cause, adding even more fun and excitement to the event.
